BIO
My Creative Biography
Tricia Lee grew up in Toronto and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the Film and Video specialized Honours program at York University. She started playing piano at 5 years old and studied with the Yamaha School of Piano. She was composing by the age of 9 and had her first recording at age 10. She completed her A.R.C.T training at age 15 and has taught piano on and off ever since. Recently, she was hired to teach an actress how to play piano for a movie of the week Molly: An American Girl.
She has traveled to England to study Media Production for a year at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle and worked in L.A. for a year. She now owns her own film production company A Film Monkey Production Inc. through which she has produced several projects for film and television. She has produced and directed a short children’s film Paper Tulips for YTV through the CFTPA Corus Young Filmmaker Initiative for which she won a Gold Remi Award at Houston Worldfest. She also is the producer / director of Humanesque which is making its way through the festival circuit. She has also worked as a field producer / director for Kids CBC.
Tricia loves hot yoga, rock climbing, scuba diving and riding her motorcycle.
